The Wikids Encyclopedia Needs You!

The Wikids Encyclopedia is a free, volunteer developed educational resource for school students, teachers and self-directed learners.

It consists of short "slides" on any given topic. A slide may be standalone, or part of a sequence of slides on a topic, or part of a structured multi-layer system. This format has the widest range of utility.

It provides information in the simplest, most straightforward, most accessible manner.

This content currently includes mathematics, biology and related sciences.

You can enter search terms in the above search field to get a feel for what sort of content is available, or click on either of the images below, then explore the "Next" and "More" links that appear.

There are two ways you can help promote and develop the encyclopedia.

1) Share any pages that you think are worthy, using the controls at the top of the pages or by giving people links. Spread the word by any means you can, and get your contacts to spread the word in turn.

2) Get contributing, or encourage your students to contribute. We need material. Wikispaces makes it very easy to create and curate content. Please start at the Overview section of the Contributors' Guidelines.
